O’Guluva is a South African rooted, Netherlands based creative collective responding to the collapse of infrastructure in South Africa, forced migration due to a lack of resources, and the ongoing extraction of South African culture in Europe without reinvestment. Instead of waiting on failing institutions or relying on exploitative partnerships, we are building our own systems.

This fundraiser supports the foundational phase of O’Guluva, covering the unavoidable costs needed to legally base the collective in the Netherlands, organise across Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Nijmegen, and launch our first artist exchange cycle. Legal guidance and accommodation are being provided through community solidarity, allowing funds to be directed where they are most needed: immigration and administrative costs for a start-up visa, local travel, plane tickets and venue hire for organising, and supporting the first cohort of artists from South Africa to travel, share their work, build relationships, and return home equipped to support the next cohort.

This is not a one-off opportunity but a repeatable model of access, return, and reinvestment. By donating, you are investing in a community-led infrastructure that allows South African creatives to move, work, return, and bring others with them.
