Camp Fihavanana 2025: Building Futures, One Dream at a Time
We are thrilled to announce Camp Fihavanana's return in August 2025, and we need your support to make it our best year yet! Join us in creating a transformative experience for the youth of Moramanga, Madagascar.
What We Need:
This year, we aim to raise $20,000 to support our Camp Fihavanana program, which will give us the stability to empower more than 50 new youth. The camp will take place from August 18-29, 2025, and will provide a life-changing experience where campers can learn, play, and grow in a supportive environment. Our dedicated team of coaches, facilitators, and volunteers will create a space that celebrates individuality, fosters teamwork, and builds lifelong friendships.
Simultaneously, we are embarking on an ambitious project to build a community youth center/campus that will serve as a permanent home for Camp Fihavanana and other local programs. To bring this vision to life, we are seeking an additional $50,000 for construction. This center will provide a safe, welcoming space for youth to gather, learn, and engage in activities that promote personal growth and community development.
Why Camp Fihavanana?
Youth face challenges larger than any generation before them. Environmental exploitation and corruption create circumstances of poverty and hopelessness for young people globally. Madagascar is one of the most heavily exploited countries in the world. It is also the most biodiverse. Our young people deserve the chance to learn how to build a community that will protect the country they love from further exploitation and abuse.
Our programming works. Camp Fihavanana has hosted four successful programs and is creating a generation of proud, young, Malagasy people who transform fear into hope and isolation into solidarity. Camp Fi is cultivating a generation that values Fihavanana, creating a ripple effect of positive change throughout the nation.

Founded in 2015 by Jessica Razanadrakoto, along with River (Laura) Patterson and Sophie Connot, Camp Fihavanana was established to empower young people through sports, leadership, and community engagement. Over the years, we have witnessed firsthand the profound impact our camp has on the lives of our participants. With each camp edition, we have grown, learned, and adapted, and we are excited to continue this journey in 2025!
