Build Back The Sawyer 'Ever Ready' Farm Barn

I’m creating this Gofundme for Mark and Charity Sawyer, who are both very new to receiving help from others but are old pros at offering it. Charity and I are going on 30 years of friendship and her family is near and dear to my heart.

The Sawyer Family owns and operates the Sawyer ‘Ever Ready’ Farm in Kingsley, Michigan. It’s a labor of love and is the heart, bones and soul of their family. It is also beloved in their community. Here is a link

Late at night on Friday, February 25th, the Sawyer family experienced a devastating tragedy. A panicked neighbor knocked on the door to let them know that the barn housing all of their beloved animals was engulfed in flames. Two local fire departments responded to the call for help, but the Sawyer’s lost their barn… and most heartbreakingly, they lost almost all of their animals. Several of their sheep had given birth one month ago, and they lost every Mama and all of the lambs.

As you can imagine, this is devastating to their family and their livelihood. I want to help the Sawyer’s raise the money to rebuild their barn this spring and rebuild their four-legged family. When I approached them to ask for permission to create this Gofundme, it was tough for them to accept the offer. In Mark’s words, he said that he has worked for everything that he’s ever had, so the idea of accepting this type of help from others is foreign and challenging. But in the end, the need to rebuild this part of their family and the service to their community in Michigan is stronger than even the proudest man’s pride.
