My name is Nicholas Breeze Wood, I've been working to help build a strong shamanic community in the West for 40 years; and for over 30 of those I’ve edited Sacred Hoop Magazine, a magazine devoted to bringing grounded indigenous sacred wisdoms to the West, in this time of massive change. www.sacredhoop.org
I’m asking for help to buy a purpose built garden office, to be the heart centre for Sacred Hoop Magazine and all the other work I do for the worldwide Shamanic Community.
I live in a fairly small house, and most of it is taken up with shamanism and ‘the sacred’ in one way or another.
The current magazine office, inside the house, is where I also write books about shamanism, and in addition this doubles up as a craft room for the ritual objects I make, a stock room for the ritual objects I get for other practitioners, and my library.
Besides that, I have a shrine room where I do healings and teach, and a small living room, which is where I hold community ceremonies.
I don’t charge for my teachings, healings and ceremonies, and I offer the magazine at a very low price, in order to help promote shamanism in the West.
Therefore, I don’t make anywhere near a living wage from the things I do, and most of my time I give-away for free. I have a state pension, which helps me support myself and my work.
I’d like to move the office into a new room - in the garden - so I can move around the rooms in my house, creating far more efficient spaces for everything, and giving me a proper bedroom for the first time in 20 years.
So, any assistance towards funding a properly built external office would be gratefully received.
