There was a moment when we thought we wouldn’t make it.

After 9 years, our beloved shelter — home to hundreds of wagging tails, muddy paws, and stories of survival — had to shut its gates for good.

The property was put up for sale and, after three years of temporary extensions, we had no choice but to pack up and go.

The good news?

We found a new place. It’s a 6-month rental for now, but if all goes well, we can make it our permanent home.

It’s close to the city, close to the sea. And it’s already fenced — which makes a big difference when it comes to keeping our dogs safe.

Now we just need to… turn it into a real shelter.

We’re building:

– 15 covered kennels (4x2 m)

– 2 large yards with shaded areas

– A simple kitchen

– A small bathroom

A real refuge. Safe. Dignified. Ready to welcome our dogs.

The total cost? Around €15,000.

A huge amount for us — but we know that, together, we can make it happen.
