Help build a mosque in Mali

As-salamu alaykum rahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

I hope this finds you and your family in good health. May Allah SWT reward and preserve you all in abundance.

‘There is a mosque in a small part of Bamako, Mali (Senou) since 2007 the goal of building the mosque has been facilitated by just 3 Malian uncles (one of which is my brother) it is important to note that the majority of what has been built is thanks to the community working hard to gather money. We were merely coordinators. My father (Kadiatou’s grandfather) began this project in 2006 before he had his stroke; he was not able to get much done because of health issues, he later passed in 2007. However, due to lack of funds the progression has been very slow-moving. Of course, those in the community would try their best to donate even if it’s 5,000 CFA (about $10.00 USD) which explains why this has been slow-moving. This mosque is extremely important to the community because it is the only mosque of walking distance. Alhamdulillah, you will see below that the community has been able to start a foundation of the mosque off.

Our Prophet (ﷺ) once said:

“Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah SWT, like a sparrow’s nest for Allah or even smaller, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”

“When a (man) dies, (his) deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (continuing charity), knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him” [Muslim]
