Hi, my name is Abbie Lynch and I have created this fundraiser on behalf of Auburn Stone, for the last 3 years Auburn has been building a DIY darkroom in the community art space - The Ladder in Redruth, out of her own pocket and with the generous help of friends and community members.

As it stands there is deficit of spaces in Cornwall where people can develop film and prints in accessible ways. This space would help to keep this craft alive locally.

Redruth is bidding as town of culture for 2028, and is a currently a thriving community of the arts and heritage.

The Ladder opened officially as a community space in November 2025, and 'exists to support theatre-makers who work in the wild. This is writers, performers, directors, designers, technologists, technicians, musicians and many more.'

The space currently is fitted with 6 enlargers and a sink, but is still in need of plumbing and electrical work.

Any amount of money to help towards the completion of this space would be really appreciated by all the local and visiting artists who will benefit from the use of the space.
