I am reaching out with hope and faith to ask for your support in building a new church for St Columbas Parish, located in the rural community of Honde Valley, under the Roman Catholic Diocese of Mutare in Zimbabwe.

I was inspired to set up this page by my parents, who continue to serve faithfully in the house of the Lord, even in retirement. Both are devoted members of St Columbas Parish, and my father is a passionate member of the Projects Board. His unwavering commitment to seeing this church construction project completed for his community has deeply moved me, and I’m honoured to support their vision.

️ Why We Need Your Help

St Columbas Parish was founded in 1951 to serve a small group of 100 parishioners. The original church was built to seat around 300 people. Today, the parish has grown to over 1,000 members, with 15 outstations, 800 secondary school students, and 1,000 primary school children.

The current church is far too small. Most masses are now held outdoors, exposing worshippers, especially women and children, to harsh weather like rain, cold, and strong winds. These conditions are not only uncomfortable but also pose serious health risks.

What We Have Done So Far

Despite limited resources, our community has come together with faith and determination. Construction of a new church is already underway, and the structure has reached window level, as seen in the picture.

Local parishioners, many living in poverty, have contributed what they can: labour, materials, and prayers. But we need help to finish what we have started.
