My friend & 'brother' of 28 years & Marc's Best Man Dan had an accident last year on the stairs, resulting in a spinal injury. He was in hospital for 7 months & is now finally in rehab.

Currently he needs assistance with all activities of daily living. Dan has been issued with a standard wheelchair, however this gives him no independence & his lovely wife Becky is a little lady, so unable to push him any distance.

I have signed up for the Liverpool Half Marathon in March & am hoping to raise money for an electric wheelchair for Dan (the waiting list from the NHS is years). Due to Dan's needs, he will need a specialist chair & also other equipment when he is home, the chair is around £7-10K.

I'm sure many of you will know or have met Dan, a more positive and funny guy you couldn't meet and he is a fierce and amazing friend.
