Hi there!

We're On That Note, Toronto Metropolitan University's a cappella group for women and queer performers! Founded in January 2020, our first couple of years as a group were spent forging a community of creative individuals despite being in quarantine. This year our group turned 4! We have been working tirelessly following our performance at the ICCA Finals in NYC, and we cannot wait to show you all what we have in store.

This year, we competed in the International Championship of Collegiate A cappella and won FIRST PLACE at the ICCA Quarterfinals at the University of Waterloo! Our members also received special awards for Outstanding Choreography.

Next Stop: Semifinals at the University at Buffalo!

We're going to Semifinals! Woohoo! Our group, along with ICCA runner-up The Water Boys from the University of Waterloo, will be representing Canada in the Semifinals at the University at Buffalo on March 9th. But we need YOUR help.

As one of the youngest groups in the competition, we don't have the same connections, funding/savings, or paid performance opportunities that some more established groups do. Additionally, as a group with members of diverse and intersecting identities, backgrounds and financial circumstances, we hope to limit our members from paying out of pocket as much as possible.

With your donations, we will be able to pay for travel expenses, overnight accommodations, food, and additional rehearsal space for all 16 of our members as we gear up to compete in the Semifinals.

If you are able, we would be so incredibly grateful for any donation - however big or small! We'd love nothing more than to share our love for music and passion for telling stories on the International stage.

We've asked you, our community, for help before and we were so floored by your generosity! We'd already be incredibly grateful to achieve our goal of $2000, but we also have the following stretch goals:

$3500 funds our trip AND a professionally recorded and produced EP of our competition set

$4000 funds all of the above PLUS a music video of our competition set

If you have a love for music, you know how valuable it is to be able to share that love with other people. As a tight knit group that sees each other like family, our love for music is so big our bodies can barely contain it. Our goal in rehearsing and competing together is to do just that—foster a community connected by our passion for singing that we can hopefully share with others through our performances.
