Bucklesham Community Council are supporting Bucklesham Parish Council by fundraising to provide new play equipment for our village Playing Field.

Our existing play equipment is 21 years old and has seen better days. Many of the pieces have already had to be removed as they were rotten and dangerous.

Bucklesham is a small rural village and the Playing Field is the only outdoor community facility we have. The Playing field provides an ideal safe space for families to meet, socialise, have fun and exercise.

Following a consultation event allowing village children and their families the chance to tell us exactly what they want, we are now desperately trying to raise the money to achieve their dreams.

We have grant applications in already but we won't just sit back and wait for others to give us money – we are trying to help ourselves too.

Over thirty village children are taking part in a Mega Sponsored Bounce-athon 10 hour relay on Saturday 10th May 2025 on the village Playing Field. We have a Bouncy Castle ready, and the children will be bouncing in relay from 8am to 6pm.

We know times are tough for many right now, but if you had any spare pennies to show the children your support they would really appreciate it. We are teaching them that if they want to achieve their dreams, they have to participate and make an effort themselves, but they can also have good fun while doing it!
