Memorial Fund for Bubba Barnett

Bubba Barnett of Gardendale Texas passed away peacefully at home with his beloved wife by his side on Sunday, May 4th 2025. He was born October 6, 1962 in Odessa, Texas, to Noel and Connie Barnett.

Bubba graduated from Monahans High School in 1981 and went on to become a hardworking ranch hand and a respected welding fabricator. He was loved by all who knew him-especially his wife and family. He was always one to have a good laugh (even at your expense). Bubba lived life to the fullest. He worked hard, loved deeply, and never did anything halfway. To know him was to love and respect him.

Bubba and Jody spent 27 years together and were married on October 1, 2016. In 2020 Bubba grew stronger in his faith in Christ. He and Jody were baptized in November of that same year. He read his Bible daily and encouraged his family to seek the Lord. His grandson recalls how Bubba would often share Scripture when offering life advice.

Bubba is survived by his wife, Jody Barnett, his stepson, Jacob Marcellis, and wife D’Aun; and his grandchildren, Adalynn, Bryson, and Corbyn, all of Gardendale, TX. He is also survived by his sisters, Kathy Barnett and Susan Williams of Madill, OK; his brother, David Barnett of College Station, TX; his Aunt Cleta and Uncle Ricky Enloe of Monahans, TX; and his aunt/niece, Alizaha McClure of Midland, TX. He is also survived by his cousins Charlotte McClure, Mac McClure, Jeanna McClure, Scotty McClure, Daniel Enloe and Tonya Calvo, as well as his nieces, nephews, second cousins and a host of extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Noel and Connie Barnett; grandparents, Cleo and Morgan McClure; mother-in-law, Julia Marcellis; uncles, Morgan Dale McClure and Daniel McClure; and his nephew, Tracy Barnett.

The memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on May 22, 2025 at Gardendale Church (6849 Goldenrod Dr.).
