Support the olive farmers

We are a group of friends who want to support some farmer communities in Palestine with the olive harvest and the maintenance of their olive groves. The olive harvest is very important for the farmer communities as the cultivation of the land is crucial for maintaining the livelyhood. Over the last years, farmers have been increasingly harassed and attacked when working on their fields making it difficult to harvest the olives. International volunteers would accompany the farmers to support them with the olive harvest but due to the current situation it is impossible for the international volunteers to join the olive harvest. Apart from buying an electric olive harvesting rake to support the olive harvest, the fundraising also wants to support the replacement of uprooted olive trees and the maintenance of the existing olive trees. With the electric rake the harvesting takes less time and there is less risk to be injured. Let's support the farming communities to maintaining their livelyhood! As volunteers who have been supporting the olive harvest for several years now, we will work together with the farmers and organisations that have hosted international volunteers in the past to restore their olive groves and to improve the quality of their olive harvest!
