For almost 10 years now, Zinc has supported the incredible Cambodian Kids Foundation (CKF), a not-for-profit, non-religious and non-political organization that directly supports about 90 families and almost 500 people in Soksan Village in Cambodia.

CKF’s underlying philosophy is one of providing a “hand up, not a hand out”. Their aim is to educate and empower the people of Cambodia through grassroots projects which have included building of a school, a women’s refuge, a community garden, and providing local families with low interest loans.

In spite of what has been achieved there is still a long way to go. That is why Zinc also supports CKF by sending over team members each year to provide on-the-ground assistance.

What is the Mishcam project and how will your donations contribute to it.

With your donation you will enable a team of 9 people to participate to Mishcam by covering travel and ground expenses – and most importantly by directly donating to CKF. The team will be working directly with CKF in Soksan Village - once one of Cambodia’s poorest villages – providing support for construction, medical assistance, teaching , training, designing, planning or whatever else the team members are good at.

What are CKF initiatives and how your donations can contribute to them.

Through your donation, you can contribute to a wide range of projects tailored to address the specific needs of the Soksan community. These initiatives aim to create positive change at both the community and family levels, fostering a belief in collective responsibility for improving the world.

Soksan International School

Soksan International School (SIS) is CKF’s major project with 439 students - 220 girls and 219 boys - studying 5 days a week. CKF is giving its students not just a place to learn, but the ability to continuously develop skills they will need throughout their life such as computer and internet skills, research and reading ability, critical thinking, healthy scepticism and more.

Medical Program

CKF medical centre provides basic medical care to over 400 people who would otherwise simply go without. CKF treat what is possible with limited resources, and for more serious problems, they take patients to hospitals/clinics and cover all of the costs. People who were previously not receiving any treatment at all are now being treated for Tuberculosis, Epilepsy and HIV.

Women’s Program

Besides providing medical treatment to hundreds of women, CKF also provide monthly women’s health sessions and cover important topics such as: contraception, personal hygiene, sexually transmittable infections and more. They also provide clean underwear and sanitary pads to all women in Soksan local community.

Every little bit makes a difference to these families, and we would love for you to be a part of this amazing cause. Funds raised through this campaign will go directly towards building a better future for the people of Cambodia.

Seit nun fast 10 Jahren unterstützt Zinc die Cambodian Kids Foundation (CKF), eine gemeinnützige, nicht-religiöse und unpolitische Organisation, die etwa 90 Familien und fast 500 Menschen in Soksan-Village in Kambodscha direkte Hilfe leistet.

Die zugrunde liegende Philosophie von CKF ist es, eine "Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe" zu bieten. Die Organisation verfolgt das Ziel, die Menschen in Kambodscha durch Basisprojekte so weit zu bilden und zu stärken, dass sich die dort lebenden Menschen langfristig selbst versorgen können. Dies passiert beispielsweise durch den Bau einer Schule, eines Frauenhauses, eines Gemeinschaftsgartens oder die Bereitstellung von zinsgünstigen Krediten für lokale Familien.

Trotz der bereits umgesetzten Projekte gibt es jedoch noch einen langen Weg zu gehen. Aus diesem Grund gibt es jedes Jahr Zincies aus aller Welt, die selbst nach Kambodscha reisen, um direkt anzupacken und vor Ort Hilfe zu leisten.

Durch Ihre Spende ermöglichen Sie einem Team von 9 Personen die Teilnahme am Mishcam-Projekt, indem Sie Reise- und die Kosten vor Ort decken – und vor allem durch ein direkte Spenden an CKF. Das Team wird direkt mit CKF in Soksan-Village zusammenarbeiten - einst eines der ärmsten Dörfer Kambodschas - und Unterstützung beim Bau, medizinische Hilfe, Unterricht, Schulungen, Gestaltung, Planung oder bei anderen Fähigkeiten der Teammitglieder bieten.

Was sind CKF-Initiativen und wie können Ihre Spenden dazu beitragen?

Durch Ihre Spende können Sie zu einer Vielzahl von Projekten beitragen, die darauf abzielen, die spezifischen Bedürfnisse der Gemeinde in Soksan-Village zu adressieren. Diese Initiativen zielen darauf ab, positive Veränderungen sowohl auf Gemeinde- als auch auf Familienebene zu schaffen und den Glauben an gemeinsame Verantwortung für die Verbesserung der Welt zu fördern.

Soksan International School

Die Soksan International School (SIS) ist das Hauptprojekt von CKF mit 439 Schülern - 220 Mädchen und 219 Jungen -, die an fünf Tagen in der Woche lernen. CKF bietet den Schülern nicht nur einen Ort zum Lernen, sondern auch die Möglichkeit, kontinuierlich Fähigkeiten zu entwickeln, die sie ihr Leben lang benötigen werden - Fähigkeiten wie Computer- und Internetkenntnisse, Forschungs- und Lesefähigkeiten, kritisches Denken, gesunde Skepsis und mehr.

Medizinisches Programm

Das CKF-Medizinzentrum bietet grundlegende medizinische Versorgung für über 400 Menschen, die sonst einfach ohne auskommen müssten. CKF behandelt, was mit begrenzten Ressourcen möglich ist. Für schwerwiegendere Probleme bringen sie Patienten in Krankenhäuser/Kliniken und übernehmen alle anfallenden Kosten. Menschen, die zuvor überhaupt keine Behandlung erhielten, werden nun wegen Tuberkulose, Epilepsie und HIV behandelt.

Frauenprogramm

Neben der Bereitstellung medizinischer Behandlung für Hunderte von Frauen bietet CKF auch monatliche Frauengesundheitssitzungen an und behandelt wichtige Themen wie Verhütung, persönliche Hygiene, sexuell übertragbare Krankheiten und mehr. Außerdem stellt CKF saubere Unterwäsche und Damenbinden für alle Frauen in der lokalen Gemeinschaft bereit.

Jeder Beitrag macht einen Unterschied für diese Familien - und wir würden uns freuen, wenn du Teil dieser erstaunlichen Aktion werden würdest. Die im Rahmen dieser Kampagne gesammelten Mittel werden direkt dazu verwendet, eine bessere Zukunft für die Menschen in Kambodscha zu schaffen.

Da oltre 10 anni, Zinc sostiene l'incredibile Cambodian Kids Foundation (CKF), un'organizzazione no profit, non religiosa e apolitica che aiuta direttamente circa 90 famiglie e più di 500 persone nel villaggio di Soksan in Cambogia.

La filosofia di fondo della CKF non è quella di fornire semplicemente cibo o un aiuto economico. Il suo obiettivo è quello di educare e responsabilizzare la popolazione cambogiana attraverso diversi progetti come, ad esempio, la costruzione di una scuola, un rifugio per donne, un orto comunitario e la fornitura di prestiti a basso interesse alle famiglie locali.

Nonostante i risultati raggiunti, la strada da percorrere è ancora lunga. Ecco perché Zinc supporta concretamente CKF inviando ogni anno alcuni membri del team per fornire assistenza sul campo.

Perché stiamo raccogliendo fondi?

Il prossimo ottobre un appassionato gruppo di volontari di Zinc si recherà in Cambogia. Ci piacerebbe raccogliere e portare con noi i fondi necessari per:

Cosa farà il team Mishcam e come contribuiranno le vostre donazioni.

La tua donazione permetterà a un team di 9 persone di partecipare a Mishcam, coprendo le spese di soggiorno e, soprattutto, facendo una donazione diretta alla CKF. Il team lavorerà direttamente con la CKF nel villaggio di Soksan, uno dei villaggi più poveri della Cambogia, fornendo supporto per la costruzione, l'assistenza medica, l'insegnamento, la formazione, la progettazione, la pianificazione o qualsiasi altra cosa i membri del team siano in grado di fare.

Attraverso la vostra donazione, potete contribuire a molteplici progetti sviluppati per rispondere alle esigenze specifiche della comunità di Soksan. Queste iniziative mirano a creare un cambiamento positivo sia a livello di comunità che di famiglia, promuovendo la fiducia nella responsabilità collettiva per migliorare il mondo.

Scuola internazionale Soksan

La Soksan International School (SIS) è il più importante progetto CKF, con 439 studenti - 220 ragazze e 219 ragazzi - che studiano 5 giorni a settimana. CKF offre ai suoi studenti non solo un luogo dove imparare, ma anche la possibilità di sviluppare continuamente le competenze di cui avranno bisogno per tutta la vita, come la conoscenza del computer e di internet, la capacità di ricerca e di lettura, il pensiero critico, un sano scetticismo e altro ancora.

Programma medico

Il centro medico CKF fornisce cure mediche di base a oltre 400 persone che altrimenti resterebbero senza. I volontari del centro medico curano ciò che è possibile con risorse limitate e, per i problemi più gravi, portano i pazienti negli ospedali/cliniche, comprendo tutti i costi. Persone che prima non ricevevano alcun trattamento ora vengono curate per la tubercolosi, l'epilessia e l'HIV.

Programma per le donne

Oltre a fornire cure mediche a centinaia di donne, CKF organizza sessioni mensili sulla salute femminile trattando temi importanti come la contraccezione, l'igiene personale, le malattie ed infezioni sessualmente trasmissibili e altro ancora. CKF fornisce inoltre biancheria intima pulita e assorbenti igienici a tutte le donne della comunità locale.

Ogni piccolo gesto fa la differenza per queste famiglie. I fondi raccolti attraverso questa campagna saranno destinati direttamente alla costruzione di un futuro migliore per la popolazione della Cambogia.
