Beuzet Family Eaton Fire Support (& Help Eric Fight Cancer!)

On January 7 2025, my father, Eric, and I (Monika) evacuated from our home in Altadena, where I had moved in to care for him since he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cholangiocarcinoma. We really believed we’d be returning the next day, but on the morning of January 8, we got a call from our neighbor telling us that our home had burned down in the Eaton Fire, along with most of our belongings. This home was full of memories from my and my sister’s childhood, and we proudly referred to it as the “Cereal & Milk house” (Kellogg Ct like the cereal, Altadena like the milk). This was my safe place all through high school, and our garden was one of my favorite places in the world, which I had filled with fruit trees and tropical foliage. We loved our home and our neighborhood, and when we were allowed to see the property a couple days later, we were devastated to find everything gone-barely able to discern where each room had previously been.

Due to this, I have temporarily converted this GoFundMe (which had originally been set up to help fund my father’s medical treatments) to focus the funds toward our immediate recovery needs not covered by other sources of aid as a result of our loss and displacement from the Eaton Fire.
