Hi, we are the Boltons and usually the ones giving to these than asking. Today, we had a gorgeous thunderstorm that resulted in our home and swing set both getting struck by lightening. All people and animals are accounted for, but all contractors and firefighters are saying we will be out of the home for potentially 8-10 months. The fire was contained to the garage but we were told the entire main floor is a loss and needs gutted. We will have insurance kicking in, at some point, but currently have been advised not to take much for clothes, bedding and basically anything the smoke touched (which was everything). We are hoping to get a little relief for our kids and some gear to make the hotel and temporary housing feel like home again, until we can be back in our home. Sadly, this was also our daughter’s sweet 16th birthday today! Thank you for helping us find a new normal for our kids as we navigate these next few weeks before insurance starts sending checks!
