Dementia Fundraiser

So… this year I clocked up my 60th orbit around the sun. To mark the occasion, most people might buy a convertible or take up golf. I, on the other hand, thought it’d be a brilliant idea to do an Ironman — that’s a 3.8km swim, 180km cycle and a full 42.2km marathon run. Consecutively. and all in one day. Yes, I’m questioning my life choices too.

Over my years at Legal Island, I’ve watched many colleagues become carers for loved ones with dementia. It’s a cruel disease that takes so much from so many, and I’ve seen up close the toll it takes. I lost my wonderful mother to dementia earlier this year.
