It’s been a year since the first Tukina event to raise awareness, and a year of Toy and others trying to get support from the government. Sadly, nothing has been done. With no help coming from the state, we’re continuing to create awareness and seek support from the wider community.

Selecta Toy is a true legend of Portuguese reggae - a founder of the scene. His influence has touched generations, keeping the spirit of reggae alive in Lisbon and beyond.

Today, Toy faces serious health challenges. While in a coma in hospital, his home on the southern bank of the Tejo was demolished. Returning from hospital, he was left homeless and without support.

This is a new campaign to continue raising funds for him. Donations from this fundraiser will go to helping Toy cover urgent living costs, medical care, and rebuilding a safe place to call home.
