Helping Jaxon’s family

Our school friends son has been recently diagnosed with acute leukaemia spending almost 2 weeks in Alder Hey Children's hospital. Jaxon has been really brave and now been discharged, but has a long road ahead of him, meaning constant trips back and fourth for him and his family. We’ve set up this page to support Jaxon and his family with travel costs and anything that will help make things easier during this difficult time.

No 4 year old should have to experience what Jaxon has been and will go through so to raise money for the family, a group of us will be walking the Sandstone trail (34 miles) in one day and would greatly appreciate anyone that wishes to sponsor the challenge.

World cancer day️

Monday 15th January 2024 we got the worst news any parent could receive that our little boy has leukaemia. Tuesday 16th January we got transferred from Leighton Hospital to Alder Hey for more testing and to start treatment. He had his first bone marrow and lumbar puncture on Wednesday 17th January and we got the results on Thursday 18th that the type of leukaemia he has is acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL). So far he has spent 13 nights in hospital from treatments, monitoring, two blood transfusions, three platelets transfusions,high temperatures to catching the flu, having his port put in his chest and much more. Our boy has a very long journey ahead of him but so far he has proven what an amazing fighter he is and he’s doing amazing!

••More awareness needs to be made for childhood leukaemia and all other cancers and everyone should know the signs and symptoms because there isn’t enough awareness for it. If you can donate blood because it does and will save life’s. ••
