I am writing this message hoping it will touch your hearts.
My name is Haya Qasem, I am 31 years old and a mother of two children living in Gaza, where life has become unbearably harsh under the ongoing war, blockade, and the lack of basic necessities.
I hold a degree in Sociology, but since the war began, I have lost my source of income and my ability to provide for my family. My husband has been imprisoned by the Israeli occupation for more than a year and a half, and I have had no news of him since then. His absence has left a deep void in our lives — emotionally, physically, and financially.
Our home was completely destroyed, and the entire town where we used to live was demolished. I have been displaced for over two years, moving from one tent to another, trying to find even a small sense of safety and stability.
Life in a tent is extremely difficult — the cold, the heat, the lack of food, and the constant fear make every day a painful struggle. I am doing my best to take care of my two children: Yahya (10 years old) and Bassem (3 years old), but I can barely secure enough food or clean water for them.
Each day becomes harder than the one before. I am reaching out with sincere hope that compassionate hearts will hear our plea. Any help — no matter how small — can make a huge difference in the life of a mother fighting to keep her children alive.
May God bless you for your kindness and generosity, and reward you for every act of goodness and mercy.
