Hello Everyone! This is Bryce Esau and I'm 21 years old. 5 years ago on August 8, 2018 I had a wreck on my 150cc scooter and sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury and a stroke. It has been a very long recovery but I have truly been blessed. I need something to do so that I can get some experience under my belt. I also would like to regain some independence and not always be reliant on someone else for a ride to and from everything. I need a set of wheels that I am not required to have a license for. I don't feel safe on a bike because my vision is too bad to track well enough to be able to stay on the shoulder. A bike also has no lights for early morning commutes thus not being a real option. I was searching for a solution one day and stumbled upon an Organic Transit ELF 2FR. But I will need roughly $10,000-$11,000 for purchase.https://organictransit.com/product/elf-2fr/ As you will notice it has lights and also is electric assist. The electric motor will propel the ELF forward at 20 miles per hour on the electric motor only, without pedaling. It is also charged by a solar panel on the roof so I wouldn't be bound to an electrical outlet. The motor would mean that I wouldn't be forced to pedal everywhere or for the whole duration of transit. I really feel like it would be extremely helpful for me in every way imaginable! It would also give me a chance to donate time as i heal. Due to the severity of my accident I am on disability at this time. I don't feel like I can continue to grow and heal mentally being left at home with very little to keep me occupied. I need y'all's help again with funding to make the ELF and a means of transportation to get to and from anything a realistic option. . It literally costs nothing to own once purchased! I seem to have no problem finding people who have odd jobs to do but when it comes to how I get transportation, there is a problem. No one ethically can say that their time is worth less than a little bit of extra labor when they could do it themselves and not worry with it. I understand that it is a large request.
