Please help to reunite my pup Scooter and me. I am desperately in need of a long overdue reunion with my boy Scooter! Scoot is my baby, my best friend, and companion. He is my therapy dog, and I need to be back with him. I can't tell you how much I truly miss him.
Two years ago, I had to leave Scooty with some trusted, fantastic friends while I sought medical help for myself. I adopted Scooter when he was 1.5 years old from a shelter in Kingsport, TN, about 5 years ago and spent the next 3+ years with him every day. I fell in love with his sweet lil chiweenie self. Scoot is not only a pet but he's my boy, my son, and he's also an excellent help for my depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. I need to be with him, and it'll cost money for me to move here in town and have Scooter moved by a pet moving service from Virginia down here to Georgia, where I came to get help for some struggles I deal with and some mental health problems.
To be completely honest, I had lost my job, my apartment, and a close friend at the time and started drinking to escape the depression. It got to where I wasn't providing or taking care of Scooter the way he needed me to, so I left him with my close friend, my brother in Newport News, VA. I came to Georgia because I had a support system here. The day I was leaving to come here, my car was totaled in an accident where I was T-boned and hurt. After the accident, I flew here and began treatment for my mental health and alcohol addiction. I have since gotten away from the alcohol and live with a friend. I only make a small amount each month from my disability check, and I can't seem to save the money to get Scooter back. I decided to try and hopefully raise the money here, and that's why I'm calling on you. Please find it in your hearts to donate just what you feel you can and want to because my heart is truly broken, and I believe Scooter's is too. Help, I'm asking, please help to reunite my dog and me so we can spend what time we have together healing our hearts.
Thank you, sincerely, Bry Fitz...
