UPDATE December 2024: Someone's set fire to the 2'x9' mini!

When we built this first ramp down under Brunel Way in 2021 we did so with the knowledge that this might happen one day. But as days turned into weeks, months, and years, I guess we all started to feel that maybe we were safe down there, which made it all the more shocking to arrive one evening and find the ramp, half burned, still smouldering, as the fire service left. Gutted.

There seems to be the will to rebuild. So, as long as we can avoid any more fires down there whilst we gather resources, and can raise the funds, that's what we'll do.

It's going to cost a bit. Wood is getting more and more expensive.

UPDATE February 2024: Third mini ramp (3' x 8') is now in place at Brunel Way.

A trilogy, complete.

2' x 9' • 3' x 8' • 4' x 12'

It's been sat outside for a long time, and there was quite a bit of water damage. We've replaced the top ply, and it's up and running, but in the long run will probably need to replace both layers of ply.

A small group of friends built an even smaller mini ramp under the Brunel Way overpass on September 11th 2021. Since then our friendship group has grown and grown, as we've met loads of great people skating that ramp.

In January of 2023, now with a larger community to draw upon, we pooled our resources again to install another bigger ramp (4'x12') at the same spot.

This all takes time and money, and by contributing to this fundraiser, you're making sure that no one goes too far out of pocket to build and maintain these ramps. We appreciate your support!
