The Birmingham Leaseholder Action Group, or BrumLAG, are a group who represent residents in Birmingham, suffering the impacts of unsafe cladding and other fire safety issues.
Our aim is to highlight the human impact of the cladding scandal, to those in Government who have the power to fix our issues. Working with other groups in the UK, we were glad to see the Government acknowledge our issues with the Building Safety Fund, but the fight continues to get funds released, ensure leaseholders aren’t penalized for other fire safety costs, and highlight where others are profiteering from the cladding scandal.
We have, to date, covered all campaigning expenses out our own pockets however, we need to reach out to more people affected by the #claddingscandal, to improve our support network, and communications, to those affected. Everyone here at BrumLAG understands the enormity of the current situation relating to coronovirus. We are sensitive to the issues people are facing, however the cladding scandal continues. For some leaseholders it has actually meant an increased inability to pay huge bills to remove unsafe cladding, as their jobs and businesses are impacted by COVID-19.

For those who can afford to, this is our fundraiser to raise money to cover the cost of producing campaign material, communications to new and existing leaseholders, and costs to hold and run physical and virtual meetings.
As with the actions of Manchester Cladiators we will also pass 10% of your donation to Grenfell United and the Grenfell Foundation. This group provide independent support to the former residents of Grenfell Tower, and who support local projects providing assistance to generations affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy.
