Support a New Beginning for a Resilient Family

Greetings world! Thank you so much for taking the time to listen to just a small fraction of our story. Transitional doesn’t scratch the surface of how much change our family has experienced over the past 2 years. From being briefly separated to moving across the country and then after a failed relationship, career change, and an ugly but necessary healing journey, we made our way back home to Florida. Upon returning, we were again faced with some difficulties that were a reminder of all the work we did as a family to heal, grow, and find stability. This journey hasn’t been the easiest, but it’s our story and it’s made us the tight-knit family we are today. I’ve persevered through a lot of trials from becoming a mother when I was still a child myself, becoming a single mom, to tackling school, work, and entrepreneurship, and still finding time to uplift my community. Doing what women do…making it happen regardless.

That “strength” is also what made me hesitant to even start this GoFundMe. My pride and ego remind me of my power to accomplish anything and derail me from asking for help. But since coming back to Florida, it has been a new test for us. I can usually make water into wine with only a mustard seed, but this time around has been challenging. A new leaf is turning for our family and we will finally find stability in our new home.

This will only be possible with the money to move in, which is why we need your help. We used all our savings to move back home and although I’ve actively been looking for jobs, taking gigs, and recertifying my massage license, I haven’t been able to save enough to support this big and much-needed change. So this is a call to action from my community. I’ve poured into South Florida with all my heart; if there was any way to ever return any of that love, it would be to help me get these kids in a stable, safe, and loving home. They’ve been through so much and I can’t wait to give them some level of normalcy thanks to the neighbors, friends, and family that ground us and give us roots. We appreciate any amount of donation.
