Brother's Visit Ends in Car Theft

UPDATE 12/12: Good news- CHP recovered my brother’s car last night. We had it towed to our house this morning. Thank God! His car is in okay condition, with a flat tire and scuff marks. We weren’t able to turn on the car so we’re not sure what else may be wrong. We’re just glad to have it back! The thieves left the car a mess but in the trash we found half of his camera equipment which we are thankful for as well.

Our brother was visiting us in Oakland from Anaheim. He was driving his new car and excited to see our newborn baby. While he was about to leave back to SoCal, he was targeted/followed, as he ran in to get his bags, the thieves pulled up and stole his car. His car insurance may cover his stolen car but not his camera equipment. He’s a photographer and had over 5k of equipment in the trunk (which is not insured). This will also affect his work which is his main source of income. We helped him with a flight back home but feel horrible and wish we can do more, so we’re asking you to share some holiday spirit and consider donating to help our brother.
