Help Two Young Brothers Rebuild Their Lives
Two courageous brothers, ages 18 and 15, had no choice but to escape their home country, alone, without their parents, fleeing an oppressive regime in the Middle East. Risking their lives, they were finally able to reach safety in the United States.
When they arrived, their challenges continued: the 18-year-old went to multiple detention centers, while the 15-year-old, as a minor, was placed in foster care. Originally, the brothers understood they would be able to reunite with a family member in the States, but, sadly, they were turned away and left to survive on their own.
Today, the 15-year-old remains in foster care in the Valley, and the 18-year-old is struggling to find housing nearby so he can stay close to his brother. They have almost nothing — just one set of clothes each — and are in urgent need of essentials like food, clothing, housing, and phone service.
We are raising funds to help these resilient young refugees cover their basic needs, support the 18-year-old in securing housing, and give him a chance to find work and attend school.
Any contribution, big or small, will help give these brothers a fresh start and the opportunity to rebuild their lives.
Thank you so much for your generosity and support.
