I’m Terry Carter. A veteran. A father. And a man who nearly didn’t make it.
I’ve stood in warzones. I’ve watched brothers fall. I’ve come home to silence, nightmares, and a world that moves on without you. I’ve been to the edge — more than once — rope around my neck, pills in my hand, bottle in my lap. And I’m still here. Barely.
But too many of us aren’t.
I’m building The Brotherhood App — a lifeline for men, especially veterans, who are suffering in silence. A place where we check in with each other daily. A place for raw honesty, dark humour, and survival. No therapy-speak. No judgment. Just real lads helping each other stay alive.
This GoFundMe is for building the final version of the app, reaching every veteran and broken man out there, and funding mental health support, emergency outreach, and community events across the UK.
Every pound raised will go directly to:
Finalising and securing the Brotherhood app
Funding mental health interventions and check-ins
Recruiting veterans to support and lead local groups
Running awareness campaigns to reach the next man before it's too late
This isn't just an app. It's a bloody shield.
If you’ve lost a brother, a son, a mate — or nearly lost yourself — this is your fight too.
Help me build something that can’t be ignored. Help me bring them home — not in boxes. But in brotherhood.
