Brother Keith Needs a Helping Hand
Donation protected
You may remember Keith Harrelson as a skilled photographer who captured iconic images of Birmingham's emerging counter culture in the late 60's and early 70's. Or you may remember him as the founder and proprietor of Moonlight on The Mountain, a unique listening room that hosted countless singer/songwriters and musicians for nearly a dozen years, bringing musical joy to hundreds, if not thousands of enthusiastic patrons in this town.
But I know him as my brother and he's had a run of bad luck here lately.
Thanksgiving morning Keith was driving to Florida for a holiday rendezvous with family and friends when he was violently rear-ended on South Boulevard in Montgomery. His car was totaled. Thankfully, initial examination only revealed a broken rib and the expected bruises and contusions a "rollover" collision can produce. However, anyone who has suffered such an accident can tell you that the effects are often slow to emerge and can take a real toll on one who is no longer a "spring chicken".
Keith's livelihood of late has been driving for Uber, so naturally the loss of his car is more than a mere inconvenience. That plus the prospect of future medical expenses has strained his resources to the limit and beyond.
Please consider lending him a helping hand. I know he will appreciate it.
