Brooke and Tyler IVF Journey

Hi, my name is Brittney and I am fundraising for my sister, Brooke and brother, Tyler to help on their journey to continue growing their family. They are the most deserving, selfless, and strongest parents I know.

 

As many of you know, Brooke and Tyler suffered the devastating, sudden, and tragic loss of their son Landon Gray Yousif in April of 2021. After the loss of their son, Brooke and Tyler went through extensive genetic testing and discovered they are both carriers of a recessive genetic abnormality which causes increased reoccurrence in all future natural pregnancies. The unimaginable and extremely painful loss of Landon has led Brooke and Tyler to explore all of their options. They have done extensive work on healing from this traumatic loss, dealing with their grief, and finding ways to celebrate their beautiful son in heaven. Therefore, after much research and with the advice of medical professionals, it has been determined that the only safe and healthy way to pursue pregnancy is through IVF and genetic testing. The cost of IVF alone is a huge financial burden for any family, but with the added costs for the specific genetic testing needed, it is significantly increased.

 

Brooke and Tyler were initially opposed to raising money related to their dream of starting a family. Brooke has started a full-time job with benefits that specifically cover a portion of the IVF process and offset costs. In addition, they sought out a IVF clinic in Louisville that provides a discount to military families. They are doing everything in their power to offset costs and make their dreams come true.

 

The cost will be for: office visits, ultrasounds, medical testing, procedures, medication, egg retrieval, embryo(s) being genetically tested, transfer and lab testing, implantation, and storage. We know that there is no guarantee when it comes to IVF and that multiple cycles may be needed.

 

Through the support of friends and family, we are hoping we can lighten the financial burden so that Brooke and Tyler can experience their rainbow miracle baby.
