Brook Radcliffe's Legacy: Elevate Others, Love Endlessly

Donation protected
We remember Brook Ronald Radcliffe, of Holladay, whose spirit departed from us on January 4, 2024, at the age of 45. Brook, a beacon of unwavering friendship and kindness, has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. Younger Brook loved nothing more than playing basketball, riding motorcycles, and BMX racing with his brothers and neighborhood friends. Fish Lake, Lake Powell, Moab, and the beach have always been places of solace for Brook. Brook graduated from Cottonwood High School in 1997, and became an Eagle Scout during this time. Brook married Casey Handshuh in 2010, and they created beautiful memories together. Brook enjoyed competing in Ironman Triathlon, and was passionate about sports cars, his ever growing sneaker collection, and loved all dogs. Brook was happiest and most joyful when in the service of others; whether on his LDS mission in Venezuela, contributing towards humanitarian projects, or simply assisting someone in the grocery store; Brook’s lifework was to elevate those around him. Brook is well-known for his most loving and tender heart, often sending family and friends messages of appreciation, acknowledgement, and admiration. Brook would welcome you and say “Hi, best friend”, and he meant it; he truly treated everyone as his best friend. Brook had an unwavering love for his friends and family; his people and his deep love for them were the keystone of his life. As Brook transitions from this life to the next, may we remember this man who’s compassionate and lively spirit brightened all spaces he entered. Brook is survived by his parents, Charles Ronald Radcliffe and Judith Ann Radcliffe; his brothers, Robert Radcliffe (Elizabeth Radcliffe), Andrew Radcliffe, and Michael Radcliffe (Lauren Radclliffe); and his nieces and nephews (whom he endlessly cherished), Charlie and Taylor Radcliffe, and August and Esme Radcliffe. Brook was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Malcolm Schubach and Sarah Gayle Schubach.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to this go fund me, which will benefit a chosen individual of our community to attend rehabilitation services or sober living, giving them the opportunity for a new beginning.

Please join us in honoring Brook, at his Celebration of Life, on Saturday, January 11th, 11:00 am MST, at the LDS Chapel, 2080 East 5165 South, Holladay. Graveside service will follow at Memorial Holladay Cemetery.
