Help Aaron Get Back on His Feet After a Softball Accident

Dear TechTank community and friends,

We are reaching out to you today with an urgent request for help. Our beloved Aaron Jeong (Yunhwan) recently suffered a severe injury during TechTank's softball practice (Sashimis) when a ball hit him in the face, breaking his nose. Unfortunately, Aaron does not have insurance as he is here with a work permit, and will need to be returning to Korea to obtain his surgeries, as the full cost of a surgery in Ontario without insurance will not be sustainable.

Aaron's Condition as of Fri, July 12:

Aaron's situation has become more complicated. His condition is worsening each day, and a doctor friend in Korea has suggested that Aaron might also have an orbital fracture, which requires prompt surgical intervention within two weeks. Due to the high costs and difficulty in getting timely appointments here, Aaron has decided to go to Korea for the surgery. This includes rhinoplasty for his nose and a surgery for the orbital fracture repair. The estimated cost is $10,000, covering both the surgeries (est. $4000 each) and the flight to Korea (est. $2000).
