Brokaw Adoption Journey

It is with incredible joy that I announce that I am adopting from China. I was 7 when I first knew I wanted to be a mama by adoption. It was never a matter of “if I adopt,” it was a matter of “when I adopt.” 24 years later and I can see how God has perfectly orchestrated every detail and how beautiful and perfect His timing is.

I invite you to follow along on this journey. I cannot do this alone, nor do I want to. It takes a village, and I know without a doubt that my village is the best.  Adoption is costly, but these children’s lives are worth far more than the financial cost. Be on the lookout for fundraisers which my team has planned. If you feel so inclined, please feel free to share this group and the upcoming fundraisers with your own friends.

Above all, I covet your prayers. Please pray for the estimated 153 million orphans world wide. Pray for families to have the courage and resources to say yes. Pray for the families who are currently matched and waiting for pandemic-related travel restrictions to lift so that they can bring home their sons and daughters. Pray for my son or daughter, that they know that they are loved and that their mama is running full speed ahead to bring them home as quickly as possible. Pray for wisdom for me as I navigate the paperwork, the financial aspects, and the numerous variables that are sure to come up. Pray for my heart, that I remain steadfast on the task at hand and surrender all of the “unknowns” to my God who knows exactly how this journey will unfold. Pray that God would be glorified through this process.
