Brockwood 2024 Alumni Reunion - London

Greetings fellow alumni from Brockwood Park School!

This GoFundMe page is to help cover the various costs for the Brockwood Alumni 2024 Reunion, taking place from Friday 2nd August to Sunday 4th August.

Venue hire for Friday evening, 2nd August 2024 = £370

This is for a Brockwood style informal evening. The price breakdown for this is set by the venue (the Camden Club) and includes PA system, room hire, and security guard

Coach hire for the day trip to Brockwood Park School (Sat 3rd Aug) = £945

If you want to come along in the coach to Brockwood, leaving from Waterloo Station at 9am, the cost per person is £22 (this accounts for the approximately £1.00 processing fee that GoFundMe takes from your contribution), and the coach has a 45 person capacity. Places on the coach will be allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis, and we are unable to offer places on the coach free of charge. You can reserve more than one seat, but please make sure that your donation reflects this.

Any funds that we manage to raise that go beyond the above costs, will help cover the running costs of organising this 3-day reunion.

Please note that if you are planning to come along to the Brockwood Day visit on Saturday 3rd August, Brockwood Park School is requesting a donation of £5 per person towards the lunch that they will be providing. This cost is not being managed by us, but will be between you and the school on site on the day. Please do not transfer the £5 for the lunch to us. You will be able to pay by card or cash at the school on the day.

Transparency

This GoFundMe is linked to Coco Tas (at Brockwood from 2010-2014), who is leading the organisation of the reunion event. GoFundMe transfers the gathered funds which are raised through this page, and transfers it to Coco's bank account on a weekly basis, to allow for deposits and invoices to be paid ahead of the reunion. Coco is supported by a group of Brockwood alumni, with Mia Borderie and Gabriel von Schinkel helping manage this page.

The total cost for booking both the coach transport and Camden Club is £1400, however since Gofundme keeps a portion of the proceeds to pay for the processing of funds (2.9% + £0.25 per transaction), we have increased the goal to £1600 to ensure we are able to cover any unforeseen overhead.
