Running for Mental Health

Hey, my name is Tania and I am challenging myself to run 80km during the month of October to raise money for mental health awareness. As someone who has struggled with anxiety myself, and have seen family and friends struggle also, I understand how important it is to have access to services, like Beyond Blue, who provide support and assistance to those who need it most.

Over the last few years, I have made it my goal to improve my fitness through strength training and healthier eating habits, however, cardio is an area of my fitness that I typically put to the side. I decided to start this fundraiser to motivate myself to complete my running goal, whilst also raising funds for a charity which is very important to me.

I will be documenting my journey, and tracking my distance and pace as I go. I am keen to see my progress and hope that as the weeks go on, I can run further and faster.

Donations of all sizes are much appreciated. You can donate to my fundraiser throughout the entire month of October, and all proceeds will be donated to Beyond Blue. I have the link to their website posted at the end of this description if you were interested in reading up on what they do.

Donations aside, I also want to make this a reminder for everyone to check in with themselves and the people around them. Always be kind to yourself and the people around you - as you never know what somebody may be going through.
