Brittany and Christian's Adoption Support Fund

This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone who has had children, known someone who has had children, or even just been near a child, but kids are really kind of expensive! It’s expensive to have a baby — even if that baby is a bun in someone else’s oven. 


Two years ago, Brittany and Christian set out on their adoption journey with the full intention paying for it entirely on their own. And they’re doing it! But it’s not easy. After being approved by a facilitator, they began the process of financing the very costly adoption process one year later. Locating and matching with a birth mother was arduous and required a lot of background checks, administrative fees, and travel costs, but it was all worth it: a couple agreed that Brittany and Christian were the right parents for their baby.




But guess what? That wasn’t the end of the process, but the middle. Brittany and Christian are now faced with unforeseen additional and increased adoption fees, legal assistance costs to ensure a smooth transition, and travel/accommodations for what might be 2 weeks out of state after the baby is born. They’re keeping their head above water in a lake of paperwork and fees, but a few of us thought they might appreciate an inflatable raft in the form of money anyway. 




All donations will go directly to the costs associated with the adoption of their new baby, a second son due in February. Brittany and Christian waited a long time for the right time and the right match to expand their loving family.
