Hi friends, it's Maddi here. I'm asking for some additional support from friends and family as we try to manage this rough patch we're facing as a new family of 4.

Our daughter, Bristol Anne, was born into this world on February 5th, 2026, 6 weeks premature and is currently in the NICU at Seattle Swedish. Unfortunately, she's had a rough start to life and has struggled to breathe on her own due to a lung infection called Neonatal Pneumonia. Due to this unfortunate medical issue, we will be in the hospital for an unsure amount of time, making sure she can receive all the care she needs to be strong enough to breathe on her own.

If you know us, you know we are new to owning a small local business in Sequim, Washington, and have a 5-year-old son at home. This means dad is home taking care of the household and trying to manage a business alone to try and keep our bills paid and a roof over our head.

I ask for help to support baby and me as we stay here alone and need housing locally. There are no boarding rooms available at this hospital to help families stay nearby, unfortunately, and hotel prices as well as food costs are very expensive in the city. I prefer to stay as close as possible so that she can rest and heal and have mom for constant support throughout her day. I am also unfortunately here without a car, so the only form of transportation is using Uber, and that can become extremely expensive in itself as well. I want to try and remove some of the extra burden on dad and be able to allow him to come here to see our daughter and not feel like missing work is going to cause financial decline or the possibility of losing our home.

I'm not one to ask for help unless I truly believe it's needed and would be forever grateful for any help we could receive to help make this experience a little less traumatic for the 4 of us.

I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to all that have messaged and sent kind words and supported us mentally as well. We are forever grateful for the support we receive in so many ways.
