Thank you for reading about our family and considering being a part of Ty's story! After returning from Russia in November of 2012 with our first adopted son (4th child) we felt a call to adopt from China. We knew we would adopt from China "someday" and never dreamed Heavenly Father would ask us to go so soon after Russia. The average Russian adoption costs $50,000 and having exhausted all of our "extra" resources to bring Jacob home we wondered how we could go complete another international adoption so soon. But the message was clear: now was the time. We moved forward in faith and watched as Heavenly Father confirmed His plan to bring another little boy into our family by blessing our fundraising efforts. We were quickly lead to our son and knew the moment we saw his picture he was "the one" Heavenly Father had in mind. What we did not know was He also intended to use our family to bring another boy home. Our son's best friend was the last of 4 boys (described as brothers) to be selected for adoption. The orphanage director, our agency coordinator and agency contact all asked our family to help find this last little boy a home. Again surprised by the spiritual prompting to action, we shared this boy's information with friends and family. Within 3 days, one of our friends committed to his adoption. Both our boys will be coming home within weeks of each other and will be able to remain friends and see each other often. God is good!
We have worked hard and have been rewarded with nearly $22,000 of adoption expenses paid for. Now we are in the final stretch and are preparing for travel in April or May 2014. We estimate $9,000-$11,000 remaining expenses to bring our son home (depending on airfare and other variables). We believe Heavenly Father has provided and will continue to provide away for these boys to come home. Would you prayerfully consider donating to our final adoption costs? We also ask that you share our story with others. Please click here
