Families Belong Together: Bring Natalio Home!

We are raising funds to help an immigrant father re-unite with his family.
In August 2018, after being stopped for a minor traffic infraction in the Upstate NY town of Camillus, local police turned over Natalio and his wife Gloria and their small child to Border Patrol. Gloria, who at the time was 8 months pregnant, was put on deportation procedures, but released to take care of her child. When she went back to the employer-provided housing at a Camillus dairy farm, the owner told her she needed to leave immediately because he needed the housing for another farmworker.
Since then this family has suffered homelessness, food insecurity, and the pain of having a loved one in detention for almost a year. But freedom for Natalio is near! Thanks to outstanding legal work from the Erie County Volunteer Lawyers Project and members of the Syracuse Immigrant and Refugee Defense Network, he was granted bail. Unfortunately, the bail is $15,000, an exorbitant amount for anyone, let alone for a family with no income who is struggling everyday to survive.
Thanks to the generosity of wonderful allies and friends, almost half of the needed funds are already raised, but Natalio needs $8,000 more.
Please donate and help this family be together again. Little Josue, who was born while his father was in detention, deserves to have his hardworking father hold him for the first time.
