Bringing Sensorimotor Psychotherapy to More Trauma Survivors
Donation protected
At Hunter’s Hope Trauma Recovery, we believe in treating the whole person, not just the symptoms of trauma. That’s why we offer a range of scientific and holistic, body-based therapies to support real, lasting healing.
One of the most transformative approaches we use is Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP) - a powerful method that blends talk therapy with deep body awareness to gently process trauma.
During our pilot programme, SP was consistently highlighted by participants as one of the most effective therapies we offered:
“The standout for me was SP. I found the somatic, body-based element to be really useful in processing my trauma and emotions. I learned a truly invaluable lesson - that it’s not actually that overwhelming to feel and process difficult emotions.”
Currently, we only have one therapist trained in SP, and with her retirement coming soon, we’re committed to ensuring this essential therapy remains available to those who need it most.
That’s why three members of our team, Coleen, Cheryl, and Maria, have enrolled in Level One SP training. This specialist training costs £2,800 per person, totalling £8,400.
We’ve already begun the training and are fully committed to deepening our skills so we can continue offering this life-changing work. With your help, we can make this possible.
Your donation will directly support:
• Sensorimotor Psychotherapy training for three trauma-informed practitioners
• Expanding access to holistic, body-based trauma healing
• Ensuring continuity of care as we grow and develop our services
Whether you can give a little or a lot, every contribution helps lift this weight and paves the way for deeper healing in our community.
Please donate what you can and help us spread the word.
Together, we’re creating a more compassionate, trauma-informed future.
