First of all, we want to say God bless you, whether you’re able to help us or not. Asking for help is not something we are used to, and this has been a very difficult step for our family. We’ve always believed in working hard and getting through things on our own, but we’ve reached a point where we truly need a little support. We are so grateful to share that we have now received our daughter’s interview date at the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines, which means we are finally getting close to bringing her home and reuniting our family.
Our daughter has been in the Philippines without us since she was just three years old. What was meant to be only two or three years has turned into nearly ten. Her grandparents wanted to be sure that our marriage and life here were stable before she joined us. Over the years, we were able to visit her regularly, until COVID changed everything. Since moving from California to Ohio, we haven’t seen her in person for the past three years. We FaceTime and talk often, but it’s not the same as holding her and having her here with us.
We now have a 10-month-old baby girl, and our daughter has prayed for and dreamed of having a sister for many years. She is so excited to finally meet her. When she comes home, she won’t just be reunited with her parents and baby sister—she will also be surrounded by many loving cousins, aunts, and uncles who are joyfully anticipating her arrival. Now that we have her interview scheduled, we are preparing for the final steps and expenses needed to bring her home. We continue to trust God through this process and humbly ask for any support you may be able to give. Every bit of help brings us one step closer to finally having our family whole again.
