Help evacuate our family from Gaza to safety

Dear world,

We are reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea for support in our journey towards safety and education amidst the ongoing war on Gaza.

Who are we?

My name is Rasha Alsabea, I am 22 years old from Gaza. I, along with my 8 family members have been deeply impacted by the ruthless war on Gaza. We are in imminent threat of being killed at any time as the situation in Gaza worsen every passing minute. Only a week after the war started on Gaza we found ourselves surrounded by death, so we forcibly evacuated from our house to a another area called Deir Albalah in the middle of Gaza City, then we found ourselves forced to evacuate once again on the 13th of October to an empty piece of land where we had to sleep under no roof until we were displaced for the third time on the 1st of Decemeber to the south of Gaza, Rafah. We are currently living in a small garage with barely any food or clean water. There is absence of the most basic human life services.

We also learnt that our house was destroyed and burned down, so even if we are able to return, the is no home to return to for refuge. The bombs have also destroyed our universities, killing all our aspirations and chances of continuing our education. We are desperate to leave Gaza to a safe place so we can continue our education and live in dignity.

I am the eldest and has recently graduated with a degree in business administration. My aspirations for further education has been shattered by the ongoing war. My sister Farah was studying radiology, and Joud, excelling in business administration, all share the desire to continue academic pursuits beyond the confines of Gaza. However, the ravages of war have left our once tranquil lives in ruins. Our aspirations and dreams along with Joud's and Farah's academic achievements, now are destroyed.

Not only our aspirations and dreams that are in danger, our lives are in danger. Displaced and frightened, we yearn for a semblance of normalcy and the opportunity to pursue our education without fear or hindrance.

Today marks the 125th day of our arduous journey, a testament to our unwavering resilience amidst adversity. Yet, amidst the chaos, a beacon of hope shines through – the prospect of securing a brighter future through education and safety beyond the confines of Gaza.

How the funds will be used:

The money will be used to pay an Egyptian tourist agency which has been in the business long before the war started and has successfully evacuated tens of Palestinians during the war. The fees at the moment are US$5000 per adult and US$2500 per child.

The donations that you will contribute to this fundraiser will be used to pay for the exit of our 8 family members from Gaza to Egypt.
