Bringing Joy to Detroit Kids- Cedar Point Trip!

Hello, wonderful supporters!
My name is Tyrell Slappey, and I am a dedicated 4th-grade ELA teacher and Co-Owner of Round 1 Gaming Lab, a thriving Black business in Detroit. I am reaching out to you with an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of some incredible students.
Throughout the school year, these young minds work diligently, overcoming challenges that many of us can't even fathom. Living in the inner city presents complexities that test their resilience daily. Despite the adversities, they persevere and demonstrate remarkable determination. So, myself and my business partners decided that our company should give back to some of these students and we started The Round 1 Gaming Lab Cedar Point Trip.
Last year, through the support of so many amazing people we were able to take a busload of students to Cedar Point. This year, I want to take TWO buses down to Cedar Point for another unforgettable experience. We had to turn away students who were eager to go last year due to only having one bus.
Why Cedar Point?
For most of these kids, leaving the city and having some fun is a rare opportunity. Cedar Point represents not just an amusement park but a chance for them to explore, enjoy, and simply be kids. For many, it will be their first time stepping into a world of roller coasters, games, and pure excitement.
How You Can Help:
Sponsoring a child costs $85, which covers transportation, admission to the park, and an all-you-can-eat meal.
- Admission to Park $60
- All You Can Eat Meal $20 (including taxes and fees)
- Transportation is $3900 for Two Buses (including taxes and fees)
Sponsor a Seat: Your $85 donation will make a direct impact on one child, providing them with a day they will cherish forever.
Multiply the Joy: Feel free to sponsor more than one child or contribute any amount you can. Every dollar brings us closer to ensuring that all students can embark on this thrilling journey.
The Power of Your Support:
In a world where the financial constraints of inner-city parents often limit opportunities, your generosity can break down barriers. Let's come together to give these deserving students a day of joy, laughter, and memories that will last a lifetime.
Thank You:
Your support means the world to me and, more importantly, to these amazing students. Let's make this dream come true together! Share this campaign with your friends, family, and networks to spread the word.
Thank you for being a beacon of hope and making a positive impact on the lives of these incredible young souls. I posted pictures from last year below and a thank you video from last year's students.
With gratitude,
