As some of you may know, my daughter Karina who adopted Alaina 4 years ago has decided to adopt a second child from India, and she accepted a match yesterday for a 2 1/2 year old girl in Maharashtra, India.

Alaina’s adoption almost 4 years ago was such a blessing for our whole family, and we have watched her blossom throughout these years.

Since then it has been obvious that Alaina would love to have a sibling, and Karina had been thinking about it for awhile.

Adoption is a very costly thing, and Karina has been saving since she made her decision, but on a teacher’s salary it is going very slowly and there are a lot more fees and costs that are coming up now that she has accepted the match. Alaina’s adoption ended up costing $38,000 by the time she came home!

Once again, we are all extremely thankful for any amount you can contribute towards this second adoption and we will keep you updated on everything as it happens. We are really hoping that Karina will be able to bring her home by next year! Thank you so much…..
