My name is Kari Fletcher and my husband Mike and I have known Claudia and Bart Fletcher for 20 years. Although we share the same last name, we are not in any way related. And yet, we are family. Bart and Claudia have a way of making everyone feel like family. They built their family of 12 children through foster care and adoption, and they now have 15 beautiful grandchildren to love!

On Sunday, March 16, 2025, after returning home from church (where Bart is the pastor), Claudia suffered what doctors have described as a "significant brain event" and she has been unresponsive since then. She had surgery to stop the hemorrhaging and everyone is praying for a miracle, but the medical prognosis is bleak and she remains on life support.

Many of Bart and Claudia's adult children live in Minnesota and need to travel to Lynchburg, Virginia so the family can spend time together and be with Claudia. This GoFundMe will help support the travel and lodging expenses involved in getting their children and their families to Lynchburg.
