Bringing Back the Smile
Donation protected
Hi my name is Jake. I am a very special 9 year old boy. I was born with cerebral palsy and epilepsy along with other conditions.

Since I was born I have lived day-to-day with a big smile on my face despite not being able to walk, talk and being fed through a PEG tube.
As Jake grew older, he became bigger and heavier and more difficult to mobilise around the house. This has also become increasingly difficult for us to wash and change him.
We were advised to construct a build with a through-floor lift to give Jake a wheelchair accessible bedroom and wet room upstairs with the rest of our family.
After two years of building work funded jointly by ourselves and the council, our family home still remains unfinished with bare brick walls due to lack of funds.

It has been a difficult twelve months for our family as Jake underwent a double hip reconstruction and contracted pneumonia twice within two months. Jake’s recent ill health has made it very difficult for his mum to find work due to 24 hour care and increasing medical equipment now needed to keep him healthy.

Jake is now a shadow of his former self, withdrawn from the excitement of the simple things in life. Instead Jake shows pain and sadness through his little face.
Please put a smile back on Jake’s face and help us give him the home he deserves.

Thank you.
