✨ Hello beautiful people! ✨

I’m not usually a birthday person, but this year I’m using this moment as a gentle excuse to invite you into something very close to my heart: finishing the refurbishment of a 100-year-old natural vernacular home in the village of Mankrong.

This house is becoming my little nest and creative base here in the village, where we’re running projects rooted in restoration, nature, and community. And honestly, it is becoming so beautiful that I feel it has to one day open as a guest home — a place for anyone who wants to experience the peaceful rhythm of life here , and to learn from the wisdom and practices of this land and its people.

We are almost there! Just a few touch-ups, plastering, doors, and the toilet and shower — which are essential ✨. These will be outdoor structures, so that they can also be accessible to a few others in the community. The toilet will likely be compost-based and the shower simple yet very polished with a nice natural look.

For the walls, we’re using mostly materials from the land — clay, wood, and natural resources. What we still need is lime / cement, extra wood, some tools, and the labour and love to bring it all together ️

To finish this whole project, we estimate roughly 3000€, but truly any contribution — big or small — will make a difference

This year has been teaching me about the beauty of collective effort — supporting, and also allowing myself to be supported. I would love for this home to come to life through shared care, shared hands, and shared heart
