This theater was built in 1942 and has served as a spot of precious memories for the town of Glenmora. The Pringle family owned and operated this theater from 1942-2009. In 2009 it was “temporarily” closed. The closure has lasted ten years and the family is now allowing the Pringle to reopen. The GHS student council is asking for help. We are trying to restore and reopen the Pringle with digital equipment. Now is the time that funds are needed!
I thought it may be helpful to give some details about the restoration of the Pringle. My name is Alexa Ashworth and I live in Glenmora. I have always loved the Pringle and I certainly love anything positive for the people in our community. The Pringle is owned by Mrs. Betty Pringle and she will continue to own it even after it opens. The amount that is being donated will go in an account that has a board of three people who will manage purchases. Not one single person will profit from the Pringle. (Other than people getting to go watch movies.) The Pringle is not a registered company so I will be solely responsible for removing the funds from the Go fund me to the checking account. I am simply doing this to better Glenmora. The student council students are volunteering their time and work to help reopen it and to learn from the experience. Thank you all so much for the money that has already been donated!
