In August, I’ll be traveling to Moldova with five others from Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola.
We’re going to serve in some of the poorest villages in Europe — places without running water or electricity — where widows and elderly residents are preparing to survive another brutal winter.
Many of the women we’ll be helping lost their husbands while they were fighting alongside a country that starts with the letter "U" (apparently I can't put that name here). With no one to chop or haul firewood, these women face freezing temperatures alone. We’ll be delivering food boxes from local ministries and helping gather and prepare wood to heat their homes.
Moldova is the second poorest country in Europe, and no one in these villages could afford to pay for help. We’re going because we believe God has called us to serve.
If you feel led to support me financially, I would be deeply grateful. My travel expenses are $2,100, plus food for several days while in transit to and from the villages.
Even more than financial help, I’m asking for your prayers:
Pray for our team's safety.
Pray for the widows and families we’ll meet.
Pray that the Holy Spirit will guide our words and actions.
And pray for my children — they’re nervous about me traveling so close to a war zone.
Thank you for your support in whatever way you’re able. May God bless you for your generosity and your prayers!
