Jim O’Reilly’s Warm Clothing Drive for Nepali Kids

Donation protected
My name is Jim O’Reilly, and I have a deep connection to the Bajura district in Nepal. In 1977, as a Peace Corps volunteer, I helped build the first suspension bridge in Bhaunera, which opened up access to this remote and beautiful region. Decades later, I returned with my sons to visit and witnessed firsthand the needs of the local school and community.

Shree Satyavadi Secondary School, located near my old bridge site, serves 318 students from kindergarten to 10th grade. Bajura’s winters are harsh, much like those of western Massachusetts, but without the luxury of indoor heating. Many children lack basic warm clothing, making it difficult for them to focus on their education.

We’ve made arrangements with a distributor for quick delivery of warm clothing, but we need your help to make this happen. At just $15 per student, your donation can provide these children with the warmth they need to thrive. You can choose to sponsor a student, contribute $15 for each member of your family, or even cover an entire grade for $450.

In the spirit of the holiday season and giving thanks for the blessings in our lives, I hope you’ll join me in making a difference for these children. Every contribution matters, and together, we can make this winter a little warmer for the students of Bajura.

Thank you for your generosity.
